Okhee lived her first 25 years in South Korea. She grew up in the countryside, poor but happy. She did well in school, completed her master’s degree, and wanted to do more. She was told there were two suitable choices available to a woman: become a career wife or become a spinster. So, she created a third choice: She left. Read more
